Years 4, 5 and 6 Cake Competition

Years 4, 5 and 6 were given the opportunity to enter a Maths Competition which allowed them to follow a recipe to create 9 cupcakes. The recipe provided, gave measurements needed to make 3 cupcakes and the children had to scale up each measurement to be able to make the 9 cupcakes. During this activity the children were measuring, following instructions, reading scales and exploring ratio. I was blown away with the amount of cupcakes that turned up at school and they really did look delicious. The Maths Ambassadors did an amazing job at selling all the superb cakes and raised an amazing total of £125.

Well done to Evren (Yr6) who came 1^st, Noah (Yr6) who came 2^nd and Milo (Yr4) who came 3^rd.
