Pelham Primary is an aspirational school where ambition is encouraged.  Pupils’ learning is not only what goes on in the classrooms but also the enriching programme of visits, trips and workshops which are central to the educational experience.  Pelham has adopted a unique approach to delivering a holistic offer which is based on the breadth of experience and exposure to new ideas and the widening of horizons often seen in the independent sector.  Music lessons, sport and drama are highly valued.  Pupils attending the school benefit from its proximity to London and the wealth of opportunities available. 

Pelham Primary is situated within London Borough of Bexley which operates a selective system at the point of secondary transfer.  We are acutely aware that many of our families aspire to their child accessing the local grammar schools both in Bexley and beyond into Kent, Bromley and Medway.  Whilst we do not prepare pupils for selective tests during our school day, we do link to tuition services and also offer extra-curricular opportunities for our pupils to gain additional support to improve their key skills which gives them a strong foundation for secondary school and on to GCSE studies.
